Do flytraps grow better in peat/perlite or peat/silica sand or just plain peat?Right now iam just using plain sphagnum peat moss to grow my flytrap in.

they grow better in an airier mix which is Peat with perlite or sand 50:50 since that perlite or sand can drain excess water in the media and avoid rot to happen to the plant living with in it.

and its easier for you to repot it the next growing season since that the sand/perlite had save airpockets in the soil and easien the breakdown of the soil when repotting rather than without sand/perlite,it might get too compacted.

Thats all :)
Happy Spring time!
