I put my question here because i'm thinking about my 1 Drosera capensis and 1 Nephenthes ventrata. My below post was good for my venus flytrap but sadly i kill them in winter (too much clod in my balcony).

So my question is :
I've got an Osram L 36 w, 3015 lm. 1 - It will be good for any carnivorous plants (even if i gonna use only 1 fluorescent lamp) with 36 w ? 2 - It is Osram, but i don't understand why in my country the 40 w is nowhere to be found (in the end, a salesman told me that in Romania 40 w doesn't exist), 40 w is european 36 w ?. 3 - And why it doesn't show what kelvin is using and if it is daylight (but high lumens means probably daylight), sometimes doesn't show or is a mistake ?. 4 - Is a 18 w fluorescent lamp fixture base voltage compatible with a 36 w (i'm thinking mod and put a 36 w longer of course lamp on a shorter 18 w fixture base, but it will burn the battery or what is inside, i think). Post a link if you can about a list for Osram fluorescent lamp and thanks in advance.

You cant put a higher wattage lamp in a lower wattage base, you will burn (the starter ballast) it up.

36 Watt will be fine, but get the base fitting to match

865 (6500 Kelvin) on the tube indicates daylight.

So, is fine if i use only one 36w for my plants for about 6 hours (from 9 am in the morning to 12 pm i got sunlight and from 12 pm to 6 pm i was thinking to use only one 36w artificial light) ?

It is sort of hard to evaluate depending of the strength of the sun that hit your plants. If it receives sufficient lighting and that you see good result, why not ? For sure it would be better than nothing if it's receiving less sunlight during the time where the light is on.

Otherwise, a 36W may be a little underpowered in my experience to grow plants and especially neps due to their diameter (unless several tubs are used), unless they are very small. Is it the CFL twisted lightbulb or were you talking of a straight neon tube ?

I'm using one single T5 54W neon tube with good results so far, but it is quickly not becoming enough with my plants becoming larger. Sunlight is clearly the best if you could move the plants around

sekler, is 1 straight neon (in my country 40w dosen't exists, i heard and found what it seems to be a 55w, but i don't want that high (in my country electric current is not that cheap and i don't want to put a "street lamp" in my house anyhow. It seems that (on the 3 image) the tendril on some leaves has grown longer. Could this be that pitchers may be developing ? (and i think and hope that my artificial light will be ok).
