So I have been watching my After Dark 'Black Pearl' cultures closely, and one stalk appears to have a growth expanding in size. Not sure if it's a strike or not, but it's located by a node/flower bud branch...Anyone have experience with orchid stalk cultures??

I just hope it holds out on contamination. Orchid stalks seem to be harder to decontaminate. It could also be the fact that the stalks I have used were older as well.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it holds out on contamination as well. If it doesn't you could always try some sort of mild resterilization to save the culture.

I agree. I do hope though I do not have to go the resterilization route though.
