How do you go about making specific crosses? Would you just cut off the stamen and rub the pollen into the stigma of the other plants flower you want to make a cross with? Simple question but I want to see how others do it, I’ve never done it but I might next year :)

You can cut the stamen off, rub it on the other stigma, or you can rub a toothpick on the stamen and run the toothpick on the pistil. For Drosera the hardest part is avoiding self-pollination.

I just use a small paint brush to collect pollen from the desired father plant and apply it to the receptive stigma of the desired mother plant.

I use my gf's makeup brush for my citrus trees, I'm sure the technique is the same thoImage
