Hello, I've never had a carnivorous plant but I saw this guy at a local gardeners sale and had to have her! The only info I got was to never let her dry out, use distilled water and keep her in sphagnum moss. I cant seem to figure out with google what type of pitcher plant she is?

If it was from a garden center its 98% going to be Nepenthes Ventrata its the toughest one and grows fast. the other 2% would be Nepenthes ventricosa

pic of a N. Ventrata i got from a GC

This was no from a GC, this was from a cutting from a hugh beautiful plant at a local gardeners home. She had some of the prettiest gardens I have ever seen. The parent plant was hugh! The "pitchers" were at least 8".

Well there is 170 species, and not even going to guess how many hybrids. but from what i have seen and is being sold by most CP shops, i would still say from pitcher shape its a Ventricosa or hybrid of it. the most common and also the toughest is Ventrata. thats Ventricosa X Alata And its pitchers max out around 8 inches ;)
