Hello everyone, I just want someone to tell me how and when I should divide my pitcher plant because I have noticed the plant has split bulbs and formed new plants. How do I know when it is time to divide? Also, how do I pull them apart?

Welcome to the flytrapcare forums!

well if you post a picture, it will be much easier to tell you what to do.
for now, you should cut down old or dead pitchers to allow sunlight to get to the smaller pitchers

well if you have already uprooted it, i guys you can separate.
but next time you should keep the plants together until the babies are stronger and bigger

You should try to divide and re-pot when they are dormant, or just beginning to wake up. Like in February. Lessens the stress on the plant. Try to get at least 2 growth points and enough roots to keep it going.

Thanks for the nice welcome.

From what little I can see from the picture, I would guess you should be able to get 3 good divisions from your clump. You don't want anything too small. Since you already have it unpotted, you may as well do it now. Get the stress out of the way. If all goes well, they should be ready to grow come spring time.
