I have had good luck resurrecting what I call blind rhizomes. I make a few nicks in the skin along the top and usually get a couple of new growth points started.

Will the three growth points grow slower than if you just had one? Or would they grow the same speed?

Theres really only two main growth points. They seem to be growing at a reasonable speed. I might remove one if need be.

Well, the rhizome pieces seem to grow slowly. Heres an update. I think they grow slowly because they don't have any leaves for photosynthesis. I might try something on the oreophyla...

Cuttings like that are easier to strike out here. Did an experiment myself where I snapped a pitcher with a part of the rhizome at the base like a VFT. Going to see if it grows or not. If it does then that's how I'll probably do them going forward. Congrats on the strike man. Once it has something to work with, I'm sure it'll grow fine. If you want to kick it up some, put an osmocote pellet in the corners of the pot once it gets something. I had good results last year from doing that.
