I dont see why it WONT work, i guess ill try it if i have an invasion...
HOWEVER, it might not be a good choice for greenhouses.
in one of the latest popular science issues, Mr. Grey said that suffocation can go unnoticed. the "pain" from suffocation is actually caused by CO2 BUILDUP in your lungs, not the lack of Oxygen. so breathing in CO2 wouldnt be good for you!

Uuuh, pretty much, you can't , you have to know a scientist, or someone else who can source it, and i bet it's not cheap, or easy to keep cool (as it's freezes in the -100's)

Actually you can buy it.. I bought some just a few years ago to send some frozen feeder mice to a friend.. and I have received shipments that were packed with dry ice.

Granted it's not as readily available as regular ice.. but you can search the internet to find a supplier in your area.

I'd disagree, we get ours at the supermarket for Halloween, but it's there year round. It's like 2-5 bucks a bag, very cheap :)

Dry ice is produced by compressing carbon dioxide rich gas into a liquid and then freezing it. When at atmospheric pressure it skips the liquid state and goes directly from a solid to gas, this is why it seems to steam. Its heaver than oxygen and thats why it drops down. This is also why carbon dioxide is listed as an asphyxiant. Once in side your lungs in high concentrations, it restricts breathing, guess one could consider trying a hand stand if the need arises?

If you want to add some times onto your life, flush your lungs hand stand works. You can also breath out as much as you possibly can, (after taking a few deep breaths for extra O2,) then inhaling pure air (use your own judgement,) outside or inside, if its clean.

You can purge heavier gases in your lungs, and bring back to life parts of your lungs you don't use called dead spaces.

Matt this could be a good idea, just don't overdo it, plants actually do need oxygen, quite badly infact, so doing this for more than a couple of days will kill/damage plants, especially if excess co2 is able to enter the media.

I've been battling aphids for a long time. The easiest thing to do is get a spray for them.

a few of my friends try it and it work ok and effectively.

Just make sure after you do this, you need to give it another 3-4hours of direct sunlight or the plant will die especially if you do it at night.
