Ok I am wanting to add perlite to my peat moss this year. I seen a brand called ferti lorm. There is nothing on the bag that says there are fertilzers in it. Would this be ok to use?

If it's this stuff
http://www.teskepetandgarden.com/browse ... 4,767.html

(it says "Perlite" in large print on the bag with nothing else next to it), then you're good.

Ferti-lome Perlite is just straight horticultural sterile perlite. Their perlite "mixes" that also contain peat are what's no good.

Yes, that perlite is perfectly safe for carnivorous plants.

Just rinse it with the same kind of water you'd use to water your carnivorous plants, prior to mixing it with peat moss.

Factories often spray perlite to reduce dust, and they do so with whatever water they have, so small amounts of salt may be present. Rinsing will remove the worst of that.
