hey ... i have one quick question... if i have a perlite and peat moss, do i mix 50:50 or i mix50:50 and add a little bit of silica sand? how much? any other better kind of media? thanks for every sugestion... :D

I don't think it matter much, estimate it, it also depends on your specific growing conditions. But everything you said is fine, I use just 50/50 peat/pearlite.

It's really a personalized decision. If growing outside where you might get heavy rain, some people prefer less perlite because it floats it's way up to the surface over time. I would shoot for about 50% peat moss and then experiment with the sand to perlite ratio of the remaining 50%.
