I suggest going with a 100w (equiv) Daylight LED bulb instead of the CFL.
CFLs produce fewer lumens per watt and they generate more heat.
If you put the lid on securely, you should monitor the inside temperature so your plant doesn't bake.

I would still heed his advice. I believe vfts can handle up to 50 tds. Also, only 4 inches? I got 2 feet where I live(I don’t live in Texas)

At this time VFTs don't need light. All my dormant VFTs are under tarps right now and receive zero light. Just keep it somewhere cold and dark until spring, and when the temps are warm again, you can put it outside. If they are allowed to rest in the winter they generally grow much better in the spring and summer than if they were growing all winter long.
