Hello VFT Experts, I have a question.
What happens if my VFTs do not receive much light for a long period of time? On the day that my new VFT arrived, it was very sunny (!) but the next day, it was just totally cloudy and hard rain.
Will my bigger Royal Red think it's dormancy time?
Will my 2 cm Cupped Traps also think it's dormancy time?

If they do get dormant, can I bring them out of dormancy right when the sun comes back (Maybe in a week) or should I keep them that way until, say, January?

Hmmm as long as it doesn't get too cold and too dark for too long, I don't think they would go dormant! I'm not an expert though!

Hmm, according to the whether foarcast, it's about 74-85 degrees for a week, and I heard that VFTs need 60-ish fahrenhites.

EDIT: But I also know that temperature is not the main factor of dormancy

That's not how temperate plants go dormant. It's a process that plays out through the entire year. Temporary environmental changes won't affect anything.

also even on a cloudy or rainy days they will get indirect light even if it is filtered by the clouds/rain its more a shift over time as they go in or out of dormancy from what I read

They'll be fine, dormancy is much more complex that that, and certainly not as fast acting.
