Good day everyone. When I bought my nepenthes I got 2 in 1 pot. So I have them reported in sphagum moss and perlite. When I bought them they were constantly standing in water and just recently stopped them from standing in water thank to you guys. But the one plant of the 2 I got seems to be wilting alot while the other seems healthy. What's strange is that the ones that wilting is still putting out new pitchers.

I've read about root rot and today I used distilled water to clean the roots and there was a small root or two. I'm not sure if it's because the plant is a baby. Just wanted to hear if I can get the 2nd plant back to full health without the wilt. Please help me.

If you just repotted them and the one is a new shoot, the roots may not be enough to support it yet. That isn't a problem though. Put the whole plant, pot and all, inside a sealed plastic bag and keep it out of direct light. Every day or two, open the bag to check the moisture of the moss and exchange the air to prevent mold. After 3 weeks or so, you should be able to start leaving the bag open more and completely remove it after 5 weeks or so. This is the process that I have used when I take cuttings from my neps so I would expect it to work with your plants.

Should I leave the bag outside or keep it shaded in my room? Should it be exposed to some heat, but just kept out of direct sunlight?

Warm is fine. You just don't want it turning into a solar oven. Indirect bright light and under 80 degrees I think would be okay.

Good luck with it. I've almost killed off all my neps at one point or another and resuscitated them from a vine cutting. It has worked for me.

Does this look good or should it be somewhere it gets less or close to no light. In one of the pics you can see the shade roof in my yard where the sun can come through the slats. I have my nepenthes inside my room in the plastic bag now. Just needed to check my environment as I am a newbie. The afternoon sun should come through those slats lightly.

Is that fine or should my plants go to my top rather where it is in complete shade.

That should be fine. I've kept mine under my florescent lights in bags for a few weeks. Just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't start deteriorating. It should do fine.

Last question... while it's in the plastic bag should it still experience the night temp drop? Should I leave the bag outside at night then?

Dang, you just exceeded the limits of my knowledge and experience. I don't give my ventrata, sanguinea, and miranda temperature drops.

Looks like ventricosa so I wouldn’t worry too much about temps, put them out you might risk cooking them alive if you wake up too late lol. I would separate the 2 plants and plant them into 6 inch wide plastic pots (WITH DRAINAGE). Wash off old media on roots and replant them with sphagnum moss and perlite. If bagging make sure they can breath with a hole on the side or top.

P.S: Just noticed the media appears to be peat moss +perlite and unknown moss, potentially fungi as well.I would not recycle any old media and treat them as bio hazard. You might wanna check out dried long fibered sphagnum and mix that with perlite. For light make sure its very bright and they can withstand some direct afternoon sun.

Yeah.. the top has a thin layer just of peat moss and perlite. It was originally potted in that but after reading a forum here I changed it to sphagnum moss. I put the peat and permit with my sundews and vft and just sprinkled the last bit on top of the nepenthes. Some say that it will help keep the humidity for the plant. But the bottom is all perlite and sphagnum moss.

I'll probably post a pick of my vft when he gets a bit bigger to help identify its species.
