I was looking over my nepenthes, looking for progress on the basal and such, when I came across this, can someone tell me what it is, just a defect? It is solid, so not nectar even though my plant is very sticky everywhere else.

That's a dormant growth point. You'll find one on the stem just above every leaf. On some plants it'll be nearly invisible, while on others it's a rather sizable bump. When you propagate the plant through cuttings or the main growth point is damaged, that's where new growth will start.

Those are growth nodes. If your plant decides to branch, that's where the new growth point will, come out from
