This is my Nepenthes Ventrata, and every new leaf that it’s produced, is usually black at the base ish, and then starts to yellow near sides. it’s kind of next to a vent, and that vent realizes relativity hot air. My Ventrata is still trying to recover from shock, and I have a bill Bailey Nepenthes in the mail coming later on this week.
Is there any bad conditions that are causing this? Please let me know and thx!

The temperature should not be above 85 degrees Fahrenheit(30 degrees Celcius I think). Other than that just make sure you're watering it enough. Hope the BIll Baily arrives soon and in good condition! Bill Baily really is a great looking hybrid, and it's a very underrated plant.

I am not sure. It will still be okay even if the growth point dies. I see that a dormant node has been activated just below the growth point.

Now that the leaf un folded, there is just a stub instead of a growth point! It’s also black to. Anybody know what it is? Thx for all the help.

I fear that it might be crown rot? I do mist the leaves, but I’ve been stopping that. My room temps drop to 60 at night possible 65.

I’m no expert on Nepenthes crown rot but I think it may be that. I think i see some white fungus near the growth tip.
