That looks like sunburn to me, cause by to much light. No a problem, just unattractive.

What about the fact that it only has 5 leaves?

Looks pretty healthy to me. Might want to increase the air movement, as klossii really appreciates that and the leaves look a tad thin for a species that normally has very thick, hairy leaves.

Also, it would probably appreciate a repot into a net pot containing an akadama mix.

I love how akadama is starting to make it into mainstream cp growing. I've used it for bonsai trees and it might be the best ingredient out there. Too bad import tax/shipping fees drives the price up so much :/

Net pots are really annoying to work with in my experience. I have a veitchii with a net pot and the sphagnum in it constantly dries out fast
I forgot to mention that this klossii is clone 271 so it might not be pure.
So its normal for a klossii to have only 5-6 leaves at a time?

What kind of mix? Is it safe for klossii?

For klossii, I use an approx. 2:1 akadama : perlite mix with a little live sphagnum close to the plant just to keep the humidity up a bit. Klossii really doesn’t seem to mind drying out too much for me— in fact, keeping it permanently wet seems to be more dangerous (rot!)

It does absorb some water but is incredibly well-draining.

Both klossii specimens I received were growing in coco husk/perlite mixes. They seemed to be doing well, although I think they'd do even better in akadama. I think the main thing you want to avoid with klossii is a really dense, sphagnum moss mix.

I like to use net pots and have them in a slightly larger regular hanging pot. So I get the benefit of good drainage, and benefit of slight slowdown of drying out. The regular hanging pot has drainage holes, by the way.
