HI im new to venus fly trap growing and started my first plant about 2 weeks ago when my girlfriend had bough me some grow your own fly trap novality thing for £1, so ive planted it all and it started to grow withing a couple of days which i thought was strange as when i was reading on internet it said it takes few weeks to. the plant that has started to grow does not look like fly trap sprouts that i have seen on the internet.

so i decided to buy another 2 of these £1 fly traps to see if they were the same, these ones did take a bit longer to sprout but they eventually did and they dont look like them either.

I decided i would try grow them from a guide on internet, so i ordered some live sphagnum moss, 2 different lots of seeds from 2 different ebayers, the first loot were really small and looked like what i got from the £1 pound traps, and second lot of seeds that came were alot bigger, maybe 5x the size of what first lot were.

ive joined this forum hopping that that community would be able to help me on way to growing my fly traps and give me advice on how to grow them and what products to use and if i have bought wrong seeds maybe send me link to were i can buy real ones, i wwill include some pictures now of what i have got so far.
this is the first venus fly trap kit i bought for £1 which came with the pot, soil stuff and seeds.

Doesn't seem like a flytrap to me. The petiote should be green or red and not white. Flytraps do not have a stem as well.

I bought vft seeds from Aliexpress
It seems like all seeds sold from there are fake..after reading so many people are conned by them.......

Does anyone know where I could procure some real vft seeds?

Thanks

hate to tell ya this, but those sprouts in the first 2 pics don't look to be VFT seedlings. the new leaves are all wrong, and VFT sprouts don't have long stems...

Venus flytrap seedlings will form traps almost immediately, the traps ARE the leaves. If you have a sprout with a leaf that is not a trap -it is not a VFT. Hope this helps. Also VFT seeds are very small, black, and shiny, you can google pictures.

Plus they don't have long stems; they have a small base with little root "hairs" that grow off to help anchor the seedling so they can start growing their main roots. If your "seedlings" have a long stem then the roots they are not VFT seedlings...

Here are some genuine venus flytrap seedlings that germinated about 3-4 weeks ago. Some germinated faster than others. You will notice with the seedlings in earlier stages that it will first get two starter leaves, followed by trapped leaves from that point on:
