Wait wait wait. In the picture it says 4mm Mylar, but the description says 2mm mylar.

I noticed a big difference in my perception of the light when I added mylar, as well as a few degrees temperature difference (~3 or 4, I think, with my particular setup), and I think it makes a difference because it redirects a fair amount of otherwise-wasted light back onto your plants.

Here's a secondary source, just in case. This is where I got the mylar I have: http://www.americanag.com/mylar-p-232.html

Tin foil (~50% reflectivity and creates hot spots that can burn plants) and pre-folded mylar blankets (relflectivity varies from spot to spot due to surface non-conformity, but it is still mylar) don't reflect as much light as mylar rolls, which is evenly 90-99% reflective.

Regarding tin foil; if you're using it with fluorescent lights, no worries. But aluminum foil to reflect sunlight or powerful grow lights (e.g. metal halide, high-pressure sodium bulbs, etc.) can cause damage to plants due to the hot spots.

Well, we'll see if the black and white panda film works as advertised when I set it up in grow area this coming Monday night. Hopefully I'll be able to finish my set-up and provide some people some pics for some helpful criticism.

Ohh, and Veronis. Off-topic: I sold out and ended up getting the 125 watt Mini Lotus from Sun God Komme. I found it to fit better in the setup I currently working on. Also, it allowed me to use E26 socket. Which is WIN!
