While I'm not sure what kind of Pinguicula this is, I really like this Ping as it's one of the few Pings I had when my collection began. could it be a Pinguicula moranensis? It's about 3 inch across.
I find that once a small fly is captured on the Ping, the capture rate of that Ping will increase exponentially. I think if your Ping isn't capturing many flies, you can capture and put few dead ones on there to begin the hunt ;)
Good hunting!

That is a lovely looking Mexican Pinguicula! I would say I think it is either a P. 'Tina' or P. 'Sethos', both of which are hardy hybrids, but I can't give a definitive ID until I can see a flower, unfortunately - though, with these two, it can be a bit difficult to tell the flowers apart.

I think you could be right. It looks different than P. Sethos that I have though. It is most likely some hybrid. It stays green under intensive light, if that helps!

Pings and sundews are great to have around when you have fruit flies or gnats!

Flower is coming up for this Ping, first time ever! I'm excited!
You can also see that it has grown for quite a bit since last time :)

It is finally blooming this morning! I'm excited to see the first Ping flower under my care.
Very nice purple flower! Still not sure what this Ping really is, probably a hybrid? But it is my favorite for sure :)
I named it Pudding, have had it since last June. xD

Absolutely lovely! Thank you for all of the photos. :) That is an incredibly vivid flower - or is it just the lighting? It's most likely a P. 'Tina', although the white flecks on the throat of the flower make me think Sethos.

You are welcome, Grey! I'm glad you like the photos.
The flower is really nice, quite vivid indeed.
Here are two more photos under natural white lighting:

I think it looks a bit different than P. Tina and Sethos.
It has very uniform growth pattern and compact (as you see in the 3" pot).

Ahhh yes, seeing the colouring of the flower in white light really shows how deeply purple it is, and you've made a great observation about the petal formation as well. To be honest, I think it could be a P. moranensis/zecheri (the leaf growth certainly looks moranensis-esque); the colour and size of flowers within populations of these plants can vary quite a bit, which is amazing, but the general shape is very, very similar to what we're seeing. That second photo is absolutely stunning!
