Hi just got this today and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise keeping this guy alive.I have it bagged I was thinking I should do this for 2 weeks then slowly punch holes each week till fully acclamated maybe 4 weeks total time.I have it growing in a terrarium under cool white florescent light 6 inches away. And I thought I should bring it out in the greenhouse at night to get cooler night temps now 58 to 60 and daytime in the terrarium about 70 to 78.
My goal is to get it in the highland greenhouse for good but daytime temps are very hot right now in Oregon and I dont want to shock it.It is from Wistuba and has been tced.Anyway if anyone could give me some advise would be great,I have wanted one for a long time and I finally have one so just being alittle cautious.
Thanks

N. macrophylla is not so easy plant to grow if the temps don't drop considerably at night to 10C (50F) or colder temps. It thrives more in cold night temps then cool as most highland neps with humidity above 90% at night, so try to keep your temps at night as low as possible. Also in the day the plant grow well in cool temps but it can tolerate and warmer days for a short period. High humidity 80% is a must in the day with good air movement.
I really hope to have success with this plant having in mind that the plant comes from Wistuba which will be more difficult at firts to acclimatise the plant to your conditions and then to grow but anyway this is another story, so Good luck!

Hey thanks for the good advice and comments.I did a little studying on them before receiving it and there is not alot of info for it,It sounds like its in the same group as villosa but I was hoping it would be alittle more tolerant.
This is only the second plant from wistuba and I might have to get one more they just put on N.Naga that I want anyway I relize that its a challange alone just to get young tced plants acclamated but shouldnt be a problem.
John very lucky to be able to go Borneo and see Neps. growing in the wild some people only dream of that, literally.Yes if you can do a recon would be awsome.Make sure to take lots a pics.

Nice selection! As everyone else has said, you do need a pretty steep temp drop! Dang you John, I still hate you for that! *Shakes Fist*
