Hi everybody :D

Its been about 4 years since I made this account with the full intention of accounting my journey into caring for carnivorous plants, and then life happened and I abandoned all my plans... Until now! I recently found a really neat looking fly trap in Co-Op and its rekindled my interest in VFTs and sundews... I picked the one with the nicest growth and most redness.

So here's my new buddy named Dino! How does she look? Healthy? I've repotted her in sphagnum and silica sand, and flushed the media with distilled water. I've discovered a little plantlet starting to grow too :D I have her under a daylight CFL bulb, its kind of on the low side, 800 lumens and 5000k, although she has started to color up way more in one of the traps so far. This same light has nicely grown my aquarium plants in a quarantine tank before. But I'm probably going to look into getting a stronger bulb.

Anyways, lemme know what you think!
