Three weeks ago, I met up with a local carnivorous plant group and someone was giving out gemmae. I took three home to see if I could get my first pygmy sundew growing, and they've all sprouted.

One of the seedlings (gemma-lings?) really took off this past week and is working on its third carnivorous leaf while its two siblings figure out which way is up. So proud of the little guy.

I'm wondering, should they have red tentacles already? I thought they were getting enough light (south facing window) but it's been cloudy all week and I'm a little worried since there's no red pigment on the one that has traps.

I'm going to say it's a mixture of age and the lighting. Mine are grown under LEDs and you can see in the pictures they develop their orange hue over time. Excuse the pictures for being rotated.
