Misting Nepenthes With Tap Water

Hi!
I've recently been working on an automated misting system for my Nepenthes growing chamber however, the only ultra-sonic humidifier I have available to me has a built-in auto-stop "feature" that prevents distilled water from being used. (Distilled water doesn't conduct electricity so the humidifier can't sense it and won't turn on.)
Will misting my Neps with tap water (~150 TDS) result in significant mineral buildup? If so, would periodically flushing them with distilled water alleviate the issue?
Thanks,
KL
