Pitcher plants

Sarracenia flava var. cuprea 'MBRS'
The original plant came from Meadowview Biological Research Station in Virginia, hence the name "MBRS". I was surprised at the size of this plant: the tallest pitcher is 29 inches / 73 centimeters.

Sarracenia flava var. ornata LW5 x F88
Nice pattern of veins on this plant, about 12 inches / 30 centimeters tall.

Sarracenia flava var. ornata
No idea about the parentage of this plant. It has a huge collection of veins at the back of the hood (maybe part 'Extreme Throat'?). This one is also about 12 inches / 30 centimeters tall.

Did you just get that Green Swamp rubra on ebay? I was looking at one there. If you ever have divisions, I'm all about Green Swamp/Brunswick County plants.

Yes, I did. Seller "the6stringedty89" is Tyler Gramley, vice president of the North American Sarracenia Conservancy. He has some nice plants for sale. I also got one of his rubra's from Berkeley County, South Carolina (that's one burly plant).

His purpurea "Booman Floral" plants are actually rosea's (big rosea's). I got a couple of them from the same nursery where Tyler got his. These plants grow like crazy in July and August's stifling heat. They are by far the most vigorous rosea's in my collection. My plants quickly outgrew their pots, will be moving to bigger quarters this winter.
