Medias and stuff

Hey guys, so I have a contact here in Spain finally that has everything I need. I'm just a bit overwhelmed with all the options available. I was planning to get the MS media modified with Mesa and vitamins. He asked me if I would be interested in the media they have specific for Venus flytraps, it's caped Cape sundew media from Phytotech.
He has media's specific for orchids also which I may get. But if the MS is a good al rounder then I'll stick to that to save costs.
What do you guys recommend for the media's? Will a tub that can make up to 10liters be enough?

So apart from the media and PPM what else would you recommend?

They have the Phytocaps also which I might have, and they sell the sealing plastic wrap. I kind of want to keep the cost low to start with just the get going. They sell all the plastic square containers also but I'll leave that for another time. I prefer to use the glass jars I can find around and if those Phytocaps will fit that would be great.

Are antibiĆ³ticos needed?

Thanks for any help,

here's something I'd like to run by, see what you guys think. I'm torn between getting the MS medium with vitamins and mesa, or getting phytotechs VFT specialized medium for multiplication and then the other for pre-transplant. I'm guessing the pretransplant will have rooting hormones or something to help encourage roots once a culture has grown and been established. If i get the MS with Vits and Mesa, would I need an additive then for pre-transplant?

VFTs are easy and don't require any special hormones to propagate or root so just plain old MS at 33%-50% concentration will work well for them along with most Drosera.

@Matt, Ah ok. that will make it a lot cheaper only having to buy one media type, and ill be able to buy a bigger batch of it for the same price. I'll get the MS with Vitamins and Mesa then. If it is only used at 50% strength that'll mean it'll last twice as long also, so great news. I'll get the special media for orchids they have and they have one for Nepenthes also which ill try I think.

@Supercazzola, Murashige & Skoog is the name of two guys that formulated this growing media. So it's the growing media formula by developed by them.
