May 2021 Photo Contest - May Flowers

April showers bring May flowers. And Mayflowers bring pilgrims, but that is not important right now. This month we want to see your photos of your carnivorous plant flowers. Any species, close ups, group shots, whatever you want to share. As always, you must have taken the photo yourself but it does not need to be a current picture. Also, only one picture please, so make it your best!

And we can't have a contest without a prize. This month, @Matt and Leah from The Flytrap Store are providing El Gecko!

Image

From The Flytrap Store website: "Grown from seed, named and distributed by carnivorous plant community member "elgecko" way back in 2004, this giant flytrap is capable of getting traps over 1.7 inches; definitely "giant" by any measure!"

This contest îs open to non-US members. We cannot ship you the plant, but we do have some alternate prizes if you win. So let's see those international beauties!

So share this photos of your carnivorous flora in bloom, and don't forget to vote for your favorites by using the like button!

The sudden hot weather had a weird effect on my sarr flowers. I also really need to get a big pot and get this thing out of temporary housing.

Flower From “Holland Red” Flytrap

Note the Maroon/Red Sepals (smaller support “petals” for the actual petals) and Stem, so you know this is the flower of a Red Cultivar
