Most of one's success comes down to how lucky one is with their outdoor climate and amount of sun exposure, as well as whether or not they have a very big, bright window. Perhaps even more so, how much money one is willing to invest in goo grow areas. The only plants I've completely killed out of my collection since I started growing either died from intentional neglect or boundary pushing, with the exception to D. prolifera, which will not grow for me, while schizandra does wonderfully, and adelae just fine.

This is because I live in a great climate for US temperates and have a good amount if sun exposure, and I spent about 200 USD early on to get a good terrarium setup going as well as an indoor seasonal grow area.

Definitely agree with you, Benurmanii. I have been able to find good spots in the backyard with ample sunlight. This will be my first year with them so dormancy will be interesting. My zone doesn't get as cold as I feel most temperate enjoy, I'm in zone 10a. The majority of my collection has already been acclimated to their spots, watering is pretty much all I need to be conscious of. I saw something regarding taking it back once the first frost hits. Should probably read more into it. Lol.

Anyway, do you mind elaborating on the seasonal grow area? Is this different than your terrarium due to humidity levels/ a more controlled environment?

Added some species. Fixed up the layout a bit. Still got a handful of seeds to sow, and my second round of cold strat batch.

Greetings plant lovers!

More than a year has passed since my last update. Here are some photos from earlier today!

I am very fortunate to be in a zone that is quite forgiving to plant neglect. So many have returned despite being an after thought for the better half of a year. I’m sure keeping them moist enough 70-80% of the time helped too... Gotta prepare for winter early this time so that there will be even more growth come spring!

Alas, here are the awaited progress pics of my collection!

This is for Twitcher! I grabbed some Pings last summer, received one in a trade, and won one too! Here’s what made it! There’s a tiny one I’m still trying to keep alive. Tho I lost one species in the winter.

Here are the larger Dionaea and plants in that little grow area. I wasn’t able to add them to the last post.

Anyway, I’ve included close ups of some plantlings. Aren’t they adorable?

A snap shot of what I did earlier! Featuring just a few pics I didn’t include here. Look at those seeds! And got a few clones stalks hoping to strike. Also, I think my Drosera dichtoma seeded, both of them I believe.
