That's really odd. They look good for us pretty much all year. In fact, Low Giant is one of the few that looks good even in winter, as it will keep many of its traps through the cold winter months.

I never really kept track of parentage for most of the plants I've started from seed, so any listed parent is really just a guess based on its physical traits. I would almost certainly guess that FTS Purple Ambush is a seedling of Low Giant. Low Giant could have been crossed with another colorful low grower like Fine Tooth x Red, which also is a great seeder, to produce FTS Purple Ambush. One or both of those two plants would be my guess as to the parents.
