Here are some purpurea I got a Lowes about a year ago, I believe. I have them outside now for their first dormancy with me. It's kind of an experiment to see if they come back (to see if VA weather is too intense for them). I hope they do though. I want to include some in a bog garden for my dad in the spring! I think he will get a kick out of all the cp's.

The group was planted in a glass vase!

Nice plant! But if I were you I would take the purpurea out of that vase like terrium because
sarracenia purpurea likes a lot of room to grow and all terriums tend to be a breeding ground
for algee and fungi.

Also, most carnivorous plants (including sarrcenia purpurea) can adapt very well to low humidity.
Oh, and since it's a sarracenia it likes to be in a plastic pot with a water tray at all times.

Still haven't been back to Lowes. Atm, it seems tissue culturing has taken a front seat to anything else :P . Too busy finding new items I need for that every hour.
