I know this is the US board, but the "other regions" one is literally dead. Seriously, this forum needs to have a "Sales, Trades & Wants Canada" or "Sales, Trades & Wants North America" because Canada has a significant amount of CP growers too, and it's closer to the US than anywhere else, so it shouldn't just be grouped off into "other", which has places as far away as Malaysia posting there.
Anyways, I really want some Nepenthes seeds, I've gotten 3 orders of them and none have grown, while all my other seeds have, because they have such a short shelf life. The last batch I ordered wasn't even the seller's fault; I ordered them in September and the sh*tty mail system here finally got them from Vancouver to my house in Alberta in October (it took 2 days for the seeds to get from Malaysia to Canada, and a month for them to get maybe a tenth of the distance to here, which is absolutely ridiculous).
Since no one in Canada seems to be selling Nep seeds, I was hoping to have some better luck in the US, especially because shipments usually only take about a week from there to Alberta.

I am willing to pay for the seeds, or trade (though I really only have seedlings to offer, which might be difficult to ship internationally- I'm not sure). Send me a PM or reply here. I need to know when they were harvested especially, to know their viability. I do not want another dead batch.

Unfortunately I can't say I would recommend the big CP seed seller in Canada.

In my personal experience and also the shared experience in my circle of Nepenthes friends, the seeds are some of the worst you can buy. "Fresh" may mean a year old, no joke. The seller also intentionally mislabels VFT seeds and will block/delete anyone who points this out.

If its those nativeexotic folks, I never had any neps germinate

Well this was clear when I was looking at their eBay store. All nep seeds were labelled "FRESH" bla bla bla, and only one of the ads was posted at the end of October. The rest were posted from the beginning of October to as far back as July. I contacted them asking when the newest ad's seeds were harvested, and they said all seeds were no longer being sold now that it's winter. Yet they still left all the ads up. wtf.
Even weirder, when I contacted him on facebook asking if he knew where I could get some nep seeds, he said to join the shop/group on there where he had them for sale. It was the same name for both eBay and Facebook shops. Contradictory much?

I sent you a name of someone in Canada that may be able to help. Nep seeds are always hit and miss but with actually fresh seeds you should have some germination.
