I've only ever grown succulents before I got my venus fly trap from Lowe's recently. It's about 3 inches tall and in a 2-inch pot of peat moss (I'm moving it into a peat moss/perlite mix soon). I've never had any experience using growth lights but would like to try it with my vft. I've seen a lot of people recommending 6500K and 2000 lumens, however, I could only find 3 lights that come close to these requirements, and I'm not sure which one is the best. I just want something small because it's a single fly trap. Which one of these works best? I don't want to blow my bank over a light, so if anyone has any other suggestions that would be great!

Is outside in natural Full Sun light a option?

they are still waking up from winter so they look a little ruff.

sadly no because of how unreliable the weather is where i live. it was just snowing on sunday and now its supposed to be 80 tomorrow :( the flood light i found is 6500K and 3000+ lumens so i thought that would be the next best thing?

Carnivorous plants are like potato chips, you can't have just one.
You will soon be adding to your collection.
Harbor Freight sells 4 foot LED shoplites that put out 5000 to 5500 lumens.
The often go on sale for under $20.00.
Many big box stores sell similar light fixtures.
The lumens are the more important number, the brighter, the better.
I've had good results with lights having color temperatures much lower than 6500K. Plants under these lights colored up just fine.
Here are a couple links to an example.

Fly traps are pretty cold tolerant, it was 32f last Friday morning for me. It takes sustained deep cold in the 20's to have a negative effect like frost burn. A lot of people who live to far north place plants in a none heated building for the winter or even a refrigerator.

If you do decide to grow outside accumulate plants to full sun.

I’d have to disagree. Aren’t lumens how a human perceives light?
Isn’t PAR (photosynthetic active radiation) more accurate for what the plant sees?
I’m not sure there is a one to one correlation between lumens and PAR (or more accurately, photosynthetic photon flux density - PPFD).
