Hi guys, I recently had to move to a house that doesn't have any windows with direct sunlight (or intense indirect bright light at all) so I don't really know what to do about my drosera aliciae.

It currently gets like 2 or 3 hours of direct morning sunlight and a lot of indirect bright for the rest of the day, and I wonder if I can grow them using only LED lights.

I thought of getting this ones ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3291893 ... 4c4dzcZxuf [27W] ), but I'm at loss. Can anyone help me?

I've seen several posts from people who are using this light and they all seem to be having problems with their plants. I am using an Agrobrite CFL light and it seems to be good for all but the most sun dependent plants. Also, you can't get the light closer than about 8 inches from the bottom so the taller the pot, the easier it is to get the plant's close enough. My ceph is coloring up under it but the ping is not. It may be the difference in 4 inches.

Those cheap blurple lights I don't think are ever any good. Mars Hydro have some nice "cheap" pro grow lights available. I say cheap for what they are, I have the TS1000 and have been super happy with it, as they are wider you get much more growing space also to put more plants and they are full spectrum.

I never thought I needed one but now I have it I don't know what id do without it, so handy.

@Panman, seems quite pricey though considering you get very limited light coverage. Then if you're having to buy more than 1 or two it might be more economical to spend 80-100 bucks on a pro grow light.

That's a great little setup. You got any more pix of it? Dimensions?

@Do_Gon, I did a review of it on my channel here

dimensions are about 31x38cm but that's including the flared reflector. it has a dimmer switch for the different growing stages, I normally have it on about 40% power. Had daisy chain also so you can link up multiple panels. It's been pretty sweet man for starting my seeds off in and wintering my neps and other stuff.

For a second I thought that was a picture of my tent. I like my 600, but my 1000's dimmer doesn't work properly. Have you had issues at all?

I don't think there's really a point in growing CPs if you're just gonna have them hidden inside a tent under a grow light 90 percent of the time.Personally,I started CPs because I wanted the experience.Just my opinion.

Some people don't have the option to grow outdoors, but cultivate for other reasons. I live in a horrible climate for most plants in general, but my indoor bog is a slice of the plants I could see back east.

@murrkywaters, no no issues at all with my diimer switch. there is two power buttons, one around the back which controls the dinner function, if its off the dimmer will not work.
@MaxVft, I use mine just for wintering my neps, starting new plants like cuttings and stalks and other things that I don't want in fluctuating weather conditions. I prefer to have them outside in all there glory but as Murky says, its not an option for all.
