So these are some pictures of my plants that I took today. This has been a bad week for me. A few days ago, a panel flew off my greenhouse during a huge windstorm that caused the temperatures in the greenhouse to plummet overnight (not below freezing, but close) while I was asleep. I found the panel next to my porch and plan on re installing it tomorrow the 26th. But then a couple days after that incident, the heater in my greenhouse turned off for a few hours during one of the coldest days of the year (the thermostat was set to off, so I must have moved it by mistake). Temperatures dropped to 19 degrees for a few hours until I turned the heater back on. It appears the freeze caused minor damage to my flytraps and sarracenia, but most of the drosera didn't handle it well. I'm hoping they will come back from the roots in the next few months, though!

Thanks Matt, It's nice to know that a majority of my plants were not really set back :)
Dionae wrote:So sorry about your bad luck. Poor ceph....looks rough. I hope everything pulls through.
Yeah, the ceph suffered a bit. I can see that some of the pitchers are still alive and that the new ones forming don't seem to be harmed. The pitchers that died off were mostly from summer. I'm hoping it pulls through as well, cephalotus is one of my favorites!

That's good news. I had some of my plants recently exposed to 16F. Luckily, I have a heat mat going 24/7 under those guys. I am sure your plants will bounce back.

Thanks, I was actually planning on going out of town for a few days just before the night the panel flew off, and it's a good thing I didn't :) . I absolutely couldn't believe I found the panel, there were wind gusts of 50+ mph that night, and I thought for sure it would be miles away by the time I went outside to go look for it since it could easily be carried off by the wind. I think I was actually pretty lucky in the whole situation, because it could have gone a lot worse.
