Yes, I have ordered from them once. The plant was N. spectabilis x aristolochioides and it was small, 4 inches from leaf tip to leaf tip, but quite healthy. I see that they are shutting down their web store and have the Neps heavily discounted. I may have to get a N. mikei and another N. spectabilis x aristolochioides at their close out prices of $5.00 - $6.00 each.

Yep, just ordered a N.mikei and another N. spectabilis x aristolochioides. Shipping and handling for them was only $5.00 so my grand total for both plants and S&H was $16.00. At those prices you can't go wrong!

Awesome!

I've never done Neps so I went with the two cheaper ones. This way if they don't make it I'm not out a lot of money.

Plus I just ordered my first Heliamphora from FTS and of the three new plants that one is going to get my most undivided attention as far as care goes.

If grown indoors under lights, they're actually not too terribly hard to care for. I've had good luck with them since switching to using the New Zealand Long Fibered Sphagnum.

After a bit of reading I'm going try it outdoors at first, which is my preference, and just bring it in when it get's too close to freezing. Based on what I've read on several forums I think it may do ok in my region. Of course I'll be watching it closely.

In Tallahassee the lowest average RH is around 62% in January, though it can dip lower some afternoons, and is typically over 70% the rest of the year. That's the monthly average based on daily averages. The morning RH is around 90% and drops to the mid 50's by afternoon. We usually get around a 20 degree temp drop at night which should work well for it. Over all it's not quite tepui stats but I think with careful acclimation it can work.

Worst case scenario I have to explain to my wife that instead of getting rid of the unused fish tank I will be turning it into a terrarium.

Congrats on the kick ass plants Dionae! Mine should be arriving today. Now I wish I would have gotten a veitchii after seeing yours. With all of the hair on that plant you would think it could handle cold weather a little better. Maybe it's evolving to get ready for the next ice age.

Great looking plants.

My PO teased me. The tracking said it was out for delivery yesterday but it never arrived. After talking to a supervisor this morning he assured me the package was on his desk and would be delivered today.

That N. mikei looks fantastic. I hope mine looks as nice.
