This pan of New Zealand long-fiber sphagnum moss is looking fuzzy. Has it resuscitated itself, or hosting some other kind of local moss?

Honestly, it looks like either a lower quality Sphagnum moss resurrected, or maybe just some algae giving it some green.
LFSM will be feathery and full, but with some potential brownish tips.

This is some NZLFSM with some U. Sandersonii that I got earlier this year, after it rejuvenated itself a bit.

I have this spreading across my collection, it seems to love the muggy Carolina summer and is not killed by cold. It is connecting pots like a bridge.

Looks like some sort of carpet moss to me, but it is hard to say for sure. Time will tell!
