Is this Fungus on my Heli?

I recently got a heliamphora minor Feb 26, and its March 5th now. Everything was fine, but recently a random small brown spot has appeared on the new growth of my heli where it wasn’t before. Is this the fungus that kills?

I’ve circled the brown spot and showed a pic of the plant before the spot appeared. Please let me know! This is my first time raising helis, and O really don’t want it to die on me

Nice looking plant! That doesn’t look like a problem to me. Sometimes there are just random spots on pitchers that don’t cause a problem. What you want to watch out for is pitchers browning from the base up, which can be rot or fungus.

I don't know if it's still commercially available, but trichoderma was a Godsend when I received Helis from Wistuba. It even helped with small Sarracenia divisions and bog orchids I've received. I don't think the spot is an issue of major concern, but trichoderma helps prevent Heliamphora sudden death syndrome, and people swear by it.

Needs a repot. Heli roots like to explore. Doesn't look like anything major.
