I have 2 vft and they dont have green leaves anymore (in my country the heat is on).The dormancy is over.My question is (sorry if the answer is somewhere in the forum)how many days must pass usually that the plant may rise again (i cut off the black leaves). If the vft is dead for good, how is the bulb (wich color must have, etc.) to know that the vft is really dead or is growing again in march. Thanks in advance.

I normally see new growth in my plants sometime in mid to late February. You're not seeing any new growth yet?

If you can't see any above-ground growth, the only way to know for sure if the plant is dead is to dig up the rhizome and inspect it. If it's still white, the plant will start growing again once the conditions are right (warmer temperatures and longer days).

where are you situated? at least the latitude would help us. growing zone would be ideal. both would be the best as we would gave an idea of the climate and the photo period.

Also, how much day light does the plant receive? Is it direct sunlight?
