I live in the foot hills of S. Carolina my tap water is always in the 30's TDS wise. is it safe for CP's with chlorine and other additives. this is my 2nd year with CP's and so far growth is great. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with this.

Is this based off you testing it out of your faucet? Or what the city says? If it's the latter you need to keep in mind water travels through pipes underground. Pipes get old, they corrode and leak, which means by time the water gets to your house it could very well have picked up unsafe materials along the way. If it's the first then be happy and water away.

ok TDS meter i got today says:
tap water = 23
rain water = 6
salt water pool = 2410

guess i better stay away from the pool water

Nice! Yeah, you're good. Wish my tap was that low! 155 here and even the rain water is 18 ppm.. I also sprinkle in a bit of AC Condenser water that tests at 44 ppm for my peat moss soil prep first washing that I've run through a min coffee maker for the first couple of cleanings and let cool.. Beenaks and Tamlin are loving it..
