Interesting colour down The Central vein

Just noticed this after I fed my trap a spider. A red line running from the prey down The Central vein.

Not sure if the colour is from the spider or the trap.

Hope it is not poison to my VFT!

No it’s not poison spider are a great treat for your vft. It’s most likely the juices flowing through the vein

No, it's not poison for the plant. Spiders are actually one of the best meals for carnivorous plants due to their predatory nature. They're higher in nitrogen and phosphorus.
My plants make Wolf Spiders call them daddy.

It looks as though that leaf may be among the oldest and, as such, may have reached the end of its usefulness. The plant may simply reabsorbing the nutrients, resulting in the difference in that one leaf.

You are absolutely right! The leaf died off with that meal.

This is my plant now.
