Im looking forward to using this forum for Venus info!

My boyfriend bought me a VFT last spring, it flourished and flowered. Life got busy and I neglected it. It is very dry, and I've been trying to bring it back to life. I dont know now if it is too late to save it or if it is preparing for dormancy(although it seems too early for that).

I'll have to see what happens to it, and I will definitely be more prepared next year.

Hello Nicole and welcome to flytrapcare!

If you have any questions, there are lots of people here that would be willing to answer. If your flytrap has any green left on it, it can probably be saved still. If not, you can always get a new one next year.

Thanks everyone, yes my VFT has three little green traps left(nothing compared to what it used to have)... I'll post a photo later.
Also, does anyone know what the little bugs in the soil that resemble mites are?

Hi Nicole and welcome the Flytrapcare! Good to see another Canadian in the forum. Those mites are harmless to VFTs so I wouldn't worry to much. Give it a good flush of mineral free water and they should go away.
