The seed bank was sort of the impetus for joining, although I've used information from here occasionally. It's a really nice resource. I decided to join yet another forum. :P

I'm over in Eastern NC and I have a long growing season. I started keeping CPs just about a year ago and have been spending way too much time on them, probably according to my wife. Attempts at having a vft when I was a kid proved futile, no doubt due to the high quality incandescent lighting I provided on the kitchen table. Fast forward to last year and a happenstance encounter with the clearance rack at Lowe's, and I bought what was the beginning of my new hobby. A beat up looking vft on sale for 50 cents. My luck was exponentially better this time around and I fell in love with these unique plants.

I'm excited to see the collections on here, learn, and also be able to help where I can. Thanks for having me.

Happy growing,

Mike

Welcome. ..and it's great that you are having more success this time with your rescue VFT. :D
And yes we have a nice selection in the seed bank. So get yourself some Drosera plants started. I am sure that your wife will love the sundews. They are beautiful and hard to resist.

Thanks. I probably have 50 vfts now. Most are typicals but I love them just the same. Sundews? Check! She literally doesn't like any of them I don't think, lol. Not much of a plant person.

All good! I probably wasn't clear enough. I'll get around to posting a growlist at some point. That's a pretty cool sundew in the pic you posted. What's the name?
