So I live in an extremely hot and dry environment and have been trying to grow some CP's for about half a year now. However I think I'm having trouble with the temperature when it comes to the my Crested Petioles and Dentate Traps VFT's. Right now its 101°f outside. I have them in full south facing sun behind a 45% shade cloth. Also have them in a water tray. Any other pointers to help keep them alive and well throughout the summer?

Large and tall white plastic or styrofoam pots help to keep your roots from overheating. I would also recommend white plastic water trays. Don’t use any dark colored pots or trays that would absorb heat.

This is what I came up with for pot insulation. Its a pot with in another put with polyurethane pipe insulation to insulate. Think this will be safe for the plants?
