Hi i have just brought my first carnivorous plant and after looking about and learning how to care for it i would like some help.

This stuff is in the pot and i would like to know if as i suspect it's meant to be there and good for the plant, And if so how to keep it healthy, i plan to just keep the sundew in 1 CM of water and would like to know if it will keep the soil wet enough that the moss wont die.

The moss is a star moss. When it is getting older it will make spore pods. When it will get biger (its ,,leaves,,), you may want to remove some parts, as it will harden the top of the peat because of its ,,roots,,
