I'm not going to lie... I've killed many flytraps in the past, but I think I've finally got the hang of it ! My collection has been growing a bit recently , so much so that the windowsill I've been growing my flytraps on has become overcrowded. I know that growing flytraps on a windowsill isn't recommended, but they seem to be doing fine, they still have that nice colouration on the inside of the traps.
I have had far worse experiences with growing them outside in the blazing South African sun...It basically cooked my plants Because of that and the fact that I don't want my windowsill to look like a carnivorous jungle, I'm planning on getting a mini greenhouse. It will be able to provide my plants with more sun (without cooking them )and more humidity. I already purchased a few relatively unique cultivars that will hopefully arrive tomorrow and I can't wait to get into other carnivorous species .
I'm looking forward to being part of this amazing community .It has helped me so much with growing happy and healthy plants!
