Hi there!
After opening up a bag of soil that ended up being full of gnats flying all over the place, I decided to get a venus fly trap. Then I learned VFTs don't seem to care for gnats  Or even the soil my plant came in (I bought it at the supermarket). After a quick Google and YouTube search, now I'm itching to create my first terrarium.

I've managed to find a smallish bag of perlite, spagmoss, and can't seem to find silica sand that doesn't come in a 50LB bag :) So I decided to join the forum to learn from the experts!

Welcome to the forum! Be sure to check out the care sheets at flytrapcare.com. You will find that, generally, flytraps don't do well in terrariums long term.
