I had an idea the other day to feed my sundews hair from my hairbrush. So far it seems to be a nutritious snack for them. Their tentacles are looking beefy. It looks like they're on steroids.

The sundew I've fed so far is the giant binata variant, but probably any sundew would appreciate. Of course, if you're bald, you and your sundews are out of luck. :(

It's an interesting idea. I would like to see some pictures, please. I remember reading somewhere that people use hair as fertalizer. However, I don't really know if it's true or not.

They aren't much to look at yet. They are just repotted from root cuttings. But before the hair, they
looked juvenile, thin and delicate. They look ferocious now.

Eyy? My hair is clean. It's full of protein and stuff. Why would it be torture?

Yeah! Haha. I thought about that. You could always take a lawn mower to your crotch.

Yeah, the potential for hair as fertilizer seems endless. I'm gonna feed my sarracenia purpurea some hairballs. I bet they will flourish.

Just a joke. Sounds like a fascinating idea though.

I'm getting a sundew soon, I think it'll be fine but....is this an actual thing? The thread is a bit old with no real updates on this weird experiment, lol.

I don't really know how well it works for CP. But hair can actually be used as fertalizer to certain plants.

Here's an article I found on it. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wired. ... irmats/amp

Update: I gave my capes some hair too. They seem ecstatic. In just two days they have gained both length and bulk. I definitely recommend, to get your new sundew up to full strength.

Yeah, of course. :) My thread title is a double entendre. Hair to feed your sundews, and to make them look stylish and feel good about themselves. I might just start a new trend: sundews with hairstyles. ;)
