Today I saw webs on my pot of VFTs. Guess what arthropod made them.

And the answer is……….. a spider! Most of you selected spider mites, but they usually build their webs on the leaves and the webs look a bit different. It surely looks like fungus gnat larvae webs but they aren’t because I saw a tiny shiny spider on them. However even if these are the spiders webs, there is suspicious growth on my VFTs. It looks like spider mite damage but I haven’t seen any mites or webs on the plants so I don’t know. But I will keep it away from the others until I know what it is.
