Growth tip chewed off :(

My nepenthes alata is my pride and joy. I was very upset to see one of my roommates cat somehow chewed off the growth tip. Will this grow back? Should I cut it under the leaf for a fresh cut? What do? I love this thing and can't believe this happened!

The growth point will not grow back but the plant will produce at least 1 basal shoot that will be the new growth point.

Then, after it recovers, grow it up big and see how the cat likes it. I don't have a problem with nuisance cats anymore due to my N. Gigantofelinedemolisher.

It's not mine, I can't stand cats due to heavy allergies. I actually stole that pic from another cp enthusiast.
