After much thought and consideration I think I've finally found a way to put my plants outside my window without the fear of them falling off. I used the two pots the plants originally came in and some command strips.

Very cool! I would worry that the adhesive might fail eventually though and you'd have to recover your flytrap from downstairs

The command strips are very strong and the plants are rather light, I'm hoping the combination of the two will keep the setup going atleast for a bit while I figure something else out.

Ha. Where there's a will there's a way. Not only will they get direct sun they will also get lit up on the the backside by the window reflection. Just don't forget to water them often or they will be toast.

Good luck! They will definitely be happier there than indoors and, as long as the command strips hold and you remember to water them, they should do great there!
