Hello all! Just wanted to share some pictures of a flytrap I have wanted for quite some time now.

Whoa! That's a gorgeous flytrap! I love the red line around the outside of the wavy trap. Super pretty. I've not heard of this one. The name is a bit of an oxymoron because Cudo is supremely small. So I'm guessing a "Giant Cudo" is probably not really a giant but large for cudo? What is the overall size of the plant?

It’s awesome! I’m pretty sure it’s named ‘Giant Cudo’ cause it looks like ‘Cudo’ but way way bigger. Cudo is way way to small lol you told me Leah accidentally threw your only one away thinking it was dead :? :D I’m not sure about the overall size but I’d say about 4 inches in diameter? Not sure to be honest.

That's a crazy fly trap amazing! who cultivates GJ cultivars? I tried looking it up online but couldn't find anything. Also I'm guessing the first pics are when you had them under led with beautiful coloration and the last pic is after you put them out. I hope once they adjust to sunlight they will brighten up for you.

Propag8, I’ve never had GJ Giant Cudo, but yes those first pictures are from a GJ Giant Cudo that was grown indoors I’m pretty sure. GJ stands for Green Jaws, I think they are the best in Germany. Green Jaws cultivates them :)

Thanks for that I been wondering ever since I saw your GJ bloody nurse post as to who cultivates them. They seem to have some really unique mutations in their plants.

That would be Matthias Maier, owner of Green Jaws (GJ):

He's been in the hobby for a long time. We co-authored the cultivar chapter back in 2012 in the Dionaea book organized by Stewart McPherson:
Venus flytrap book

That was fun!

Here's a quick snapshot of my GJ Giant Cudo. I am optimistic that I'll be able to get it in TC this spring and have some to offer in 2022.

Jose Garcia has some excellent specimens of this very rare clone available right now-https://rainbowcarnivorousplants.com/co ... ohazard-ii

First time I've seen this one offered for sale publicly in the states. Not a bad price for how rare it is, either.
